DEFINITION OF A SOCIALITE -- an individual prominent in fashionable society & who's actions, opinions strongly influence the course of events

...well this is the 21st century, meaning not only the rich and famous can make a difference in our world, especially the FASHION world, but definitely the young ambitious people of our society. I'm Anna by the way, and I just turned eighteen. For most that's finally the year they get to have their voice heard, being able to vote and technically legal but for me it just feels like another year to achieve even more. I'm a very picky person when it comes to anything, clothes I wear have to look exactly like I want them to and of course the people that I become close with. When we're younger, it feels like the more people you know the "cooler" you are but then at some point of this *growin up stage* you realize that it's about quality not quantity. I'm also not a big believer of "keeping your friends close and your enemies even closer", trust me I know exactly what its like to have enemies but the best thing to do is just to get rid of them altogether. They'll always be there but don't allow them to be a part of your life.

So here's a little preview into my life. I was born in Russia, and by the age of 9, I've travelled to the most beautiful cities of Europe. Obviously you can say that fashion has always been a big part of my life, but not only that, it's also made me the way I am today. When people dress fashionably they have almost like an aura of confidence about them. I remember growing up, going to fashion shows and admiring all the models, knowing that one day I'll be apart of that so called "magical world". I was always that little girl, believing in princesses and fairytales, but there was more to it. I felt like the reason I wanted to be those princesses was because everyone admired them and they had such a strong impact on people. That's what I wanted. That power of control as soon as you put on those 5 inch Christian Louboutin red sole glass slippers, and dance the night away at a nightclub or Victorian Castle, your preference. My grandma would take me to concerts and get manicures with her for as long as I remember. At one point I've even had a chauffer take me to school and life seemed to be perfect, but as we know all fairytales come to an end...

I turned 9, and in a couple of months, we moved to THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WORLD! I was so used to this perfection, and only having a younger sister, when my parents also decided to have another little boy. We stayed at a hotel in Montreal, Canada for about 4 months which was def a cool experience, then finally moved to Toronto.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that, changes occur to each and everyone of us, every single day but all of us are strong enough to withstand them . I currently dance about 20-25 hours a week, in my last year of highschool (just applied to UNI!) and am finally trying to figure out this whole becoming an adult thing.

I want this to be a place for people to just go and check out everything that's happening, not only in my life but also around the world. I'll obviously keep a fashion/dance update 'cause those things are a big part of my life but I also want to do an advice section. So if anyone's ever dealing with problems and needs to talk, or even little advice tips, I'll always be here :)

As a future political science major I would like to start making differences or at least help people lol I'll also keep an update about charity events and performances which I know about or take part in. There's going to be a Toronto food drive coming up so stay tunedd....

xoxo no more Gossip Girl ;)

  2. Hiya, I was wondering if you could help me with something. See in yourpost above, it says you are going to do an advice column, but I kinda need advice about something now. I live in England and the education system is kinda different here, but when you begin year 12, you do these things called A levels, and in my school we are required to take 4 subjects of our choice and a compulsory called critical thinking. I know that I definately want to do biology, chemistry, english lit lang, and either philosophy and ethics or history but I just can't decide. The woman at my school who does the timetables is telling me I need to decide really soon and I just can't do it. I'm thinknig of becomnig either a dentist, writer or lawyer when I'm older. Any advice about which I should take? Thank you so much =)
